Biotech A.S. graduate working at Dow AgroSciences constructing plasmids (carryover as a contractor from a Dow internship). Former Molecular Bio / Biochem B.S. student at Florida Tech (recipient of a $30k Presidential scholarship which I wasted), then Western Washington University, with community college experience in between. Skip a few years, moved to Indiana and got married, got an A.S. degree from the Indiana's Ivy Tech State/Community college system culminating in an internship at Dow AgroSciences. Currently enrolled in classes at IUPUI, going for a Biology B.S. with a focus in Computational Molecular Biology and a minor in Math.

Intellectually gifted, otherwise not too gifted a student (except as it comes to last minute cramming). Trouble with writer's block when it comes to writing up lab reports and lab notebooks which I'm learning how to compensate for. I prefer fully immersive regimes in which it is possible to work straight for 30+ hours a week on the same course of study - something I have only experienced once at PLU's "Summer Scholars'" program for gifted High School students. The writer's block effectively disappears with real-world lab books, as they're pure information and very little interpretation. Work also serves as a 30+ hours per week, fully immersive regime, though a little more repetitive than I prefer (new techniques and ideas please!).

More than anything else, I want to work in the anti-aging / immortality field for 60+ hours a week doing science, research, speculative theorizing and testing, or even just lab work. After death is conquered (wishful thinking ;) ), I wish to go into Physics and work out how to make universes and beings and see what it is those beings I and my fellow universe creators created can create.
